Boxes R Us completed the first phase of Compass Cold Storage located in Mulberry Arkansas near Fort Smith. Featuring cutting-edge refrigeration and freezing technology, the new complex offers cold storage opportunities for food wholesalers, retailers, and food manufacturing customers in central and northwest Arkansas.
With this new facility, Compass Cold supports clients with third-party logistics (3PL) services. As a 3PL provider, the company will store inventory as well as ship the client’s products directly from the facility. By providing warehousing, order processing, and shipping and receiving, Compass Cold will give their clients a turnkey solution to fulfilling orders quickly and efficiently.

Known as, “America’s Favorite Pie”, Table Talk Pies produces over 4 million snack pies and 600,000 traditional 8-inch pies per week. Table Talk’s desserts are sold around the nation through a variety of wholesalers and distributors. Ti Cold provided Table Talk with an energy-efficient, state-of-the-art freezer space, designed to accompany their three existing production facilities.

Boxes R Us was the steel erector for this 215,100 sq. ft., 50-foot-tall cold storage facility. Located with easy access to I-16, I-75, and the Port of Savannah, the building includes 33,666 pallet positions and was designed for maximum operational efficiency. The facility also features an eco-friendly low-charge ammonia refrigeration system, aligning with modern sustainability standards while maintaining temperatures from 40°F to -20°F.

Mattingly Cold Storage is adding over 30,000 square feet of cold storage space with a new freezer addition. In this zero-degree freezer with pallets stacking 7-high, Mattingly cold storage adds just under 6,000 new pallet positions to their operation. Boxes R Us was only involved in the completion of the Miscellaneous Metals Scope of the project

This comprehensive expansion involved the construction of additional manufacturing space, the acquisition of new machinery and equipment, and the refurbishment of existing employee facilities. It also included the construction of a wastewater treatment plant.
